The kids get a Clydesdale ride.

These are the Clydesdales that they use to open the show every night at the horse show in Lexington, VA. There is an auction and you can bid on a ride with them.

Petting Zoo in Lancaster...

Junk Mail...

Leave it to Larry Allen Photographers to not miss an opportunity! They sent this to us (with an order form). Of course, THEY have the best picture...and the kids rehersed which camera to smile for! So, who do I make the check out to...Oh, yeah, Larry Allen! I'm surprised the schools don't offer an automatic debit from parents' checking accounts for school pics...up to and even AFTER graduation! The picture quality is the best I could do (until the REAL ones come)...I scanned the "preview" copy they sent us...

Stormy Nights In Lancaster--VIDEOS

I'll see if I can upload a video or two...

It takes a long time to upload a video...and it is 0300. I am getting tired...look for more tomorrow...but not too early! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDSEY!

Stormy Nights In Lancaster

Bobby and I are in the camper. Grandy is staying home with Julie and Dan. Lindsey is (you know) in Germany! Bobby and I decided to go to Lancaster, PA for a few nights together--alone! We arrived today and we're staying at the Country Acres Campground. It is great. The grounds are beautiful. It happens to be located just behind (like RIGHT behind) one of Donna's favorite shops along Rt. 30 in Lancaster (East of). We'd come back here again!

At about 5PM tonight, the storms started rolling through here...it got pretty bad. After we sat in the camper through the first batch, and did fine...we decided to venture out and not sit here under these trees for the rest of the storms. The camper is fine...but we are glad we left...we had a great time driving around...in the storms....

Here are some of the pictures we took as we braved the weather! I'll upload some videos if I can. If not, they are on YOUTUBE. www.youtube.com/donnah123 check it out!

Lindsey leaves for GERMANY!

GERMANY OR BUST!
Hagerstown-Wesel Exchange Group

Lindsey left this afternoon for Germany. She will be gone for 6+ weeks. I am tracking her flight right now... Lufthansa Flight DH419 or DLH419.

CLICK HERE TO TRACK LINDSEY'S FLIGHT

The tracking is amazing. It tells me how far she has gone, how far she has to go, the plane's altitude and speed! It shows her location on a map. I love it! She doesn't know it but I can track her across the world! This first picture is her location at Dulles Airport--before they boarded the airplane.

This next picture is a real time picture of her flight in progress. I asked Bobby why they would fly UP and thru Maine to go OVER to Germany. He said that it is closer to fly over the world to Germany than it is to fly AROUND the world. I thought there would be a straight line across the map... I will try to post her return flight on her way home...at the end of JULY!

GO LINDSEY! GO LINDSEY!

Lindsey Graduates!

Lindsey graduated from high school on June 5th! Her grandmother came up from Florida to attend her ceremony...if you could call it a ceremony (more on that later). We have some pictures of Lindsey at graduation but didn't get any pictures of her with her family. Thank you (from Lindsey) to those who have sent graduation gifts and cards. Everyone is very proud of her. She worked very hard last year--at her job and attending high school 1/2 day and going to HCC part time. She was very busy. Some days, she had high school in the morning, college in the afternoon, and then went to work that evening. Too bad gas is so expensive...she has to work to pay for her gas to run back and forth to school!

Graduation was held at HCC's gymnasium. It has NO air conditioning. It was VERY VERY hot! We sat in bleachers (not a problem except for the idiots who tromped up and down...up and down during the graduation ceremony). I could not believe how rude the people were. I could not believe how they were dressed. Jeans! Shorts! "Beaver hats" and ball caps, muscle shirts....It was amazing. I was embarrassed! During the ceremony, people were in and out, getting ice cream, sodas, candy...like it was a ball game! They had the students facing away from the parents so we couldn't even see Lindsey. It took 2 hours-mostly because it was disorganized. It was so hot. I think for Julie's graduation, we'll all wear our suits and set up a little wading pool in the corner. We can splish-splash and stay cool.

But, the focus was on Lindsey and she was SPECTACULAR! WE LOVE YOU LINZ!

Warm weather...lots of sunshine!

Summer is coming upon us. The sun is hotter and closer than ever. Today, I ran into the school to return a book to Dan. He was outside with his class. They were spending their class time outside playing great games. Normally, it would be great to see the kids outside playing, having a great time. I felt a little less thrilled and felt almost betrayed that my fair-skin "baby" is having "unprotected" fun in the sun! The Harsh's will be sending sunscreen packets with our kids in their wallets for "protection"! They are available at online and are great to have on hand. I wasn't aware that Dan would be outside today. I waited 10 more minutes for his lunch break and then brought him home for lunch. We gave him a good lathering up...and tanked up his belly (Chicken Fries)...and took him back to school for the rest of his afternoon in the sunshine.

Bobby is well into his vaccine trial at NIH. His poor leg is lumpy and red (and very sore). He feels pretty sick about 5 days after the injection. It makes him feel like he has the flu. We put cream on the injection site every night for 4 nights after he gets the injection. This is supposed to help the immune system respond to the area and "do its thing!" He saw his surgeons recently and they are pleased. Dr. Albertoli will see him in 6 months (yeah) and Dr. Yoon said he didn't need to seem him unless Bobby had any concerns or needed something new. Bobby was happy...and although the doctors are wonderful...we'll be happy not to have to see them for a long time...if ever! If you need a plastic surgeon (boobs or whatever) we'd definitely recommend Dr. Albertoli. I think Bobby recommends Katie (Dr. Albertoli's assistant) more than the doctor himself! See previous posts for pics...I'm sure Bobby has the page bookmarked.

OK, I was here, and updating my blog very nicely....AND NOW, BOBBY HAS COME DOWN AND IS TALKING TALKING TALKING....I'LL BE BACK SOON.....HUGS TO ALL....I CAN'T LISTEN TO #1...AND TYPE TO THE WORLD. BBL
